feel the flame flickering

will it extinguish rapidly?

or die slowly?

I ask myself

what if it revives?

like flames tend to do sometimes

and burn brightly once again?

while the memories are still beautiful?

Where the glow of tenderness

and the moments of intimacy and care

are still rosey and warm?
